What Optimist Clubs Do
Optimist Clubs are dedicated to "Bringing Out the Best in Kids" and do their part through community service programs. Since each Club is autonomous and run by members in their community, Optimists have the unique flexibility to serve the youth of their area in any way they see fit. Optimist Clubs see a need in their community and react to it.
The local Hallie Optimist Club supports several Optimist International Programs: Childhood Cancer Campaign, Essay Contest, Youth Appreciation, Respect for Law, and Youth Safety. The Club also holds an annual safe Halloween Party, awards scholarships, and raises funds through Breakfasts with Santa and the Easter Bunny, and, new this year, a Golf Tournament and Ball Drop. Recently the club has donated $8000.00 to Irvine Park and the Hallie Ball Field.
The Hallie Optimist Club is a member of Optimist International and conducts positive service projects to help youth in the community be the best they can.
By providing hope and positive vision, Optimists bring out the best in kids.
